Ahead of his participation in Melodifestivalen 2026, Sweden’s selection for Eurovision 2026, Tim had the opportunity to speak with Eurovision alum Robin Bengtsson, who is participating in this week’s selection with his entry “Honey Honey”

During their interview, Tim and Robin talked about his entry for this year’s competition, the milestone that he’s celebrating with his participation in this year’s competition, as well as a message to the fans who have been supporting him since his debut in Mello.
Who is Robin Bengtsson?
Robin Bengtsson has built a strong career, amassing over 120 million streams. He has participated in Melodifestivalen four times (2016, 2017, 2020, 2022), and ending up representing Sweden in 2017 after winning with “I Can’t Go On”, which made the Grand Final in Kyiv, and place 5th.
Sweden’s Eurovision journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).
In 2025, Sweden were represented by Finnish group KAJ, singing “Bara bada bastu”. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 321 points, finishing in 4th place. 126 points were received by the juries, while the trio received 195 points by televoters.
