Georgia’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is called “On Replay”. The song is set to be released on March 11 ahead of the contest in Vienna.
A Eurovision-Experienced Team
The group has recently been in the recording studio working on the track with Giga Kukhianidze, who is producing the entry for this year’s contest. Producer Giga Kukhianidze is well known within the Eurovision family. He has written and produced several songs for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, including “Mzeo” and “To My Mom,” both of which brought Georgia victory in the competition.
Who Are Bzikebi?
The group Bzikebi, consisting of Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili and Mariam Kikuashvili, gained international attention when they won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song “Bzz.” Their entry was notable for being performed partly in an imaginary language, marking the first time this had occurred in the competition.
Following their victory, the group released the album “Zabuzei.” They later returned to the Junior Eurovision stage as interval performers in 2022 and again in 2025 in Tbilisi, performing the song “We Don’t Sleep.”
Georgia’s Eurovision journey
Georgia’s history in Eurovision has been mixed since they began competing in 2007, represented by Sopho Khalvashi with “Visionary Dream”. Their highest placements – both coming in 9th – were achieved in 2010 and 2011, with Sopho Niharadze performing Shine and Eldrine with One More Day. They have not qualified for the final since 2016, when they were represented by Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz with Midnight Gold.
For 2025, GPB selected Mariam Shengelia to represent Georgia with her song “Freedom”. In Basel, Georgia failed to qualify for the final, earning 28 points in the semi-final, ultimate placing fifteenth.
