Following last night’s show TVP has now revealed that Alicja will succeed Justyna and shall be the Polish representative at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.
Alicja will represent Poland in Vienna
Poland’s TVP opted for a pre-recorded national final, Finał krajowych kwalifikacji, this year. With all performances being recorded earlier in the week. Voting was open in two rounds; prior to the show’s broadcast, and another running from after all songs performed until midnight.

Alicja will now officially go to Eurovision, after she was supposed to go in 2020, but was unable to after the Contest was cancelled. She attempted once again in 2023, but failed to win the national selection.
Poland’s Eurovision journey
In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Edyta Górniak with the song “To nie ja!” and placed 2nd, Poland’s best result at the contest to date. Since then, Poland has participated 26 times, qualifying for the Grand Final 16 times.
Poland selected Justyna Steczkowska to represent the national at Eurovision 2025 with “GAJA”, thirty years after her first participation. She qualified for the final, ultimately finishing in 14th place with 156 points. Of these, 17 came from the jury, while the remaining 139 came from the televote.
