Lithuanian alternative rock band and Eurovision 2025 stars Katarsis have released a new single. “Tu matei” follows the release of the band’s debut album, “Žiedlapis tau”, at the start of this year.
About “Tu matei”
Katarsis have released their latest single “Tu matei” (You saw). This the first new single from the band, who represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, since the release of their debut album “Žiedlapis tau”, at the start of 2026. “Tu matei” sees the band deliver a more indie-rock electronica sound than some of their previous music. The track is lighter, and more melodic than their Eurovision entry, while keeping the alternative rock atmosphere they are known for.
The new single was written by Lukas Radzevičius and Jokūbas Andriulis of the band, and appears to take inspiration from the 90s indie and alternative music scene. The music video sees Jokūbas and Alanas perform on rolling hills, while Lukas is trapped in an enclosed room, growing more and more unsettled and desperate as the track progresses.
The chorus of the song contains the lines:
Time has run out
I don’t want to be here
In this state
Living under the waning moon
The band will be performing two shows in their home country of Lithuania later in August. They also have a show announced in Lviv, Ukraine in October 2026. More information of tour dates can be found on their website.

Who are Katarsis?
Music project Katarsis began life as the solo rock / post-punk project of lead singer Lukas Radzevičius. In 2019, Lukas began composing and recording his own music. The musician quickly realised that he could not perform his music in a live concert setting alone, and formed the band with the same name. The current live show formation of the band includes Lukas on lead vocals and guitar, Alanas Brasas on guitar and Jokūbas Andriulis on drums. Bassist Emilija Kandratavičiūtė, who performed with Katarsis on the Eurovision stage, left the band in early 2026 due to ill health.
Following their success in the 2025 Eurovision, Katarsis embarked on a Europe wide tour, with dates in the UK, Ireland, Finland, Estonia, Poland and many other nations. The band released their debut album “Žiedlapis tau” (Petal for you), at the beginning of 2026. During spring 2026, Katarsis embarked on another successful Europe-wide tour.
Katarsis’ Eurovision history
Katarsis participated in Lithuania’s Eurovizija.LT national final for Eurovision in 2025, with their song “Tavo Akys”. The band qualified for the final from the fourth heat of the selection, after topping both the televote and jury vote. In the final, they placed 1st with 12 points from both jury and televote (total 24). They advanced to the super final, which they won with 15,889 votes, earning the band a ticket to Eurovision.
In the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Katarsis performed in the 2nd semi-final, placing 6th out of 16 with 103 points. This qualified them for the Grand Final, where they would eventually place 16th out of 26 acts, with a total of 96 points. 62 of these points came from the professional juries, and 34 came from the public televote.
