This is not the only thing we are looking at today we are also looking at Australian representative Montaigne and a short clip of her live on tape performance which will be shown in Rotterdam.
What Did we think of the Live on-tape backstage video
While we don’t have much to go on yet, we’ve had a glimpse of Montaigne’s styling and how the performance will look. She’s dressed in a black vinyl outfit, chains, and a holographic cloak. Her three dancers are also dressed in holographic clothing. There looks to be some interesting play with the lighting – she’s definitely bringing us her promised style and lasers!
Montaigne has previously said that the performance was inspired by anime series Sailor Moon, and that the song is based on the idea of a group of “queer teen vigilantes fighting crime”. The bright colours and maximalist styling definitely play into that!
We will hear more from Montaigne when she does her meet and greet with the press tomorrow!
