TES Recaps: Day 5 sees Second dress rehearsals

Day 5 of Eurovision rehearsals has now came to a close, and we have things to discuss! Every single country bar Malta rehearsed today for the second time.

Here is what we made of today:

What were our highlights from Day 5?

Jazzi: My highlight of the day was Russia, I felt it was impactful and even more powerful that in the first rehearsal, I really hope this gets the Top 10 finish that it is worthy of.

Rory: The improvement of Lesley’s rehearsal, and Ukraine still nailing it with the stand in. He is very happy he got to see Ukraine’s staging as he was away on Sunday when they did their first rehearsal.

Rosie: Getting home in time to see Lesley’s final rehearsal as it is her winner, was very happy with how much it has improved.

What were our lowlights of Day 5?

Jazzi: Sweden had some lighting issues that were distracting from the performance.

Rory: Israel, he felt some of the vocals especially in the last rehearsal were slightly off.

Rosie: The fact that Kateryna had to miss today’s rehearsal due to ill health.

What were our favourite moments of the day?

Jazzi: When The Roop said during their press conference, they would fly over to Australia and meet Montaigne when Covid-19 has blown over

Rory: When his question got asked twice by the person running Ukraine’s press conference, although he did feel a little embarrassed.

Rosie: Watching the stand in do the hand movements during Go_A’s rehearsal.

Most Improved from first rehearsal?

Jazzi: Ireland and Romania i see them both having improved vocally and I saw that Roxen was seemingly more confident vocally.

Rory: Ireland he was glad that Lesley managed to be vocally great, as this is one of the times he feels Ireland have put a lot of effort in in order to stand out.

Rosie: Romania, feels that she can now hit a lot of key points in the song and doesn’t seem as breathy now towards the end of the song.
