Miks Dukurs has been granted a wildcard and will compete in the Final of Supernova 2022 this Saturday, LTV has announced. With the addition of Miks Dukurs and his song “First Love,” 11 songs will now participate in the final of Supernova.
What happened during the Supernova semi-final
The Supernova semi-final took place February 5 and saw 10 songs qualify. Miks Dukurs was the second performer of the night. According to LTV, a technical issue meant that certain sounds did not play during the performance. Comparing the semi-final performance to rehearsal footage, the Supernova jury and LTV representatives decided the difference was big enough to have potentially impacted the result. This has led them to grant Miks Dukurs a wildcard to the final.
