The line-up of Melfest WKND, which starts tomorrow, keeps growing! Melodifestivalen legend and 1996 Eurovision participant Nanne Grönvall is the latest addition.
About the Pre-Party: Melodifestivalklubben OGAE Sweden, usually holds Melfest WKND, consisting of a Pre-Party (held on Friday night before the Melodifestivalen final), and the Main Party after the final of the Swedish selection takes place. The pre-party is well known for being the only Pre-Party of the 2020 season to physically take place.
Acts: The acts confirmed for Friday night are three-time Melodifestivalen participant Dotter and eight-time Melodifestivalen participant Nanne Grönvall alongside Vladana (Montenegro 2022), Sahlene (Estonia 2002), Aidan (MESC 2022).
Venue: The show will take place at Nalen, an elegant 19th-century building, located in Stockholm.
Tickets: The tickets for the Pre-Party (11th March) are 380SEK for the Show, 540SEK for a Meet & Greet, with an Early Entrance. Tickets for the Main Party cost 300SEK. OGAE members can take advantage of lower rates for tickets, and further information about the tickets can be found right here.
Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win six times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015).
In 2021, Sweden was represented by Tusse, who won the 60th edition of the competition and competed with the song “Voices”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final and placed 14th with 109 points from the jury and televoters.
