Melodifestivalen 2021 participant and co-writer of Sweden’s Eurovision 2020 Patrik Jean returns, as he releases his new single “For You”, which is his first music release for 2022.
Singing about “Happy Love”
Patrik has mentioned upon the release of his song, he mentions that this is his most personal song so far. He mostly writes about heartbreak, but never about Happy Love. However, he was able to do just that with “Happy Love”.
“I have written a lot about heartbreak, but happy love has always been harder to put into words. With “For You” I finally got to say everything I wanted to say, and it has become my most personal song so far,
The release of the song comes after Patrik becomes engaged to his long-time partner Magnus, and proposed to him, whilst shooting the official music video for the song, which is due to be released shortly.

Patrik Jean’s Eurovision Journey
Before participating at Melodifestivalen, Patrik was one of the co-writers for The Mamas’ 2020 Eurovision entry ‘Move’, which was due to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Eventually, Patrik made his debut at Melodifestivalen 2021 as an artist with “Tears Run Dry” which placed 5th in its Semi-Final.
