After representing Sweden at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, things continue to look up for Cornelia Jakobs, as she was among the winners at this Rockbjörnen (transl. The Rock Bear) awarded by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.
Cornelia wins two awards in this year’s competition
Sweden’s Eurovision 2022 representative (who was also one of the performers in the show), won two awards in this year’s Rockbjörnen. She won “Breakthrough of the Year”, as well as “Swedish Song of the Year”, with her Eurovision entry “Hold Me Closer”.
Other Swedish Eurovision representatives also won
It’s not just Cornelia who won at this year’s Rockbjörnen. Sweden’s Eurovision 2018 representative Benjamin Ingrosso also won two awards. He won Male Artist of the Year (which he also won in 2018, 2019, and 2021), and also Fans of the Year.
Another former Swedish Eurovision representative that also won in this year’s Rockbjörnen is Eurovision 1974 winners ABBA who won “Group of the Year”. Last year, the group released a new album “Voyage”, and a few months ago, their virtual concert residency in London “ABBA Voyage” commenced.
We would like to congratulate the winners of this year’s Rockbjörnen, and wish them all the success in the world.. Don’t forget to follow ‘THAT Eurovision Site’ over at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
