What else do we know about Tu bije serce Europy?
Poland will choose their artist and song for Eurovision 2023 on 26th February. The show will take place in Warsaw at Studio Transcolor at 17.30 CET. Around 300 artists submitted songs for consideration.
The winner will be chosen over two rounds of voting. In the first round of voting, the top three entries will qualify for the second round based on the 50/50 combination of votes from a five-member jury and a public vote. In the second round, the votes are reset, with the public and jury once again deciding the winner through a 50/50 split. Former Eurovision participant Edyta Górniak will be the head of the professional jury.
Following the semi-final allocation draw, the winning act will represent Poland in the second half of semi-final two at Eurovision 2023.
Poland’s Eurovision Journey
In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest, when Edyta Górniak represented them with the song “To nie ja!”, and placed 2nd (which is Poland’s best result at the contest to date). Since then, Poland has participated 24 times (15 of which was in the Grand Final). Poland’s recent Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by Ochman, who competed with “River”. Qualifying for the final, at the close of voting, he managed to place 12th with 151 points from the Jury and Televoters.
