🇵🇱 Poland to participate at Eurovision 2024

As the Eurovision 2024 season is in full swing, more and more countries announce their participation. This time, its Poland’s turn to confirm they will be joining in Malmö, and will be marking their 26th appearance in the competition.

Selection method to be revealed in due course

Poland’s Eurovision 2024 participation was reported by ESCToday. However, the broadcaster is yet to reveal how it will be selecting its representative for Malmö.

TVP has been using various methods of selections in order to select its Eurovision representative. Over the past two years it’s been using its selection ‘Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję!’ to select its representative, with Poland qualifying for the final on both occasions.

Poland’s Eurovision Journey

In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest, when Edyta Górniak represented them with the song “To nie ja!”, and placed 2nd, which is Poland’s best result at the contest to date. Since then, Poland has participated 25 times, qualifying for the Grand Final 16 times.

Poland’s recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Blanka, who competed with “Solo”. Performing during the second semi-final, Poland qualified for the final. At the close of voting at the Grand Final, she managed to place 19th with 93 points. Of these, 12 came from the jury, whilst 81 came from the televote.
