RTS have announced that Pesma Za Euroviziju will on Saturday March 2, and that 235 songs were submitted to the contest, a record amount.
“About 30” songs to be chosen
Speaking on the broadcaster’s Evrovizijske priče podcast, RTS Entertainment Director Olivera Kovačević said that the RTS selection committee will listen to all the entries on December 11, with the “about 30” successful songs being revealed before the end of the year
“We want to announce before the New Year about thirty, I’m not telling you the exact number, whether it’s 30, 32 or 34, who made it to our festival Song for Eurovision 24,”

Preliminary dates for Pesma Za Euroviziju Semi Finals announced
Before they reach the final on March 2nd, the chosen acts will compete in one of two semi finals, which have preliminary dates for Tuesday February 27th and Thursday February 29th.
Serbia’s Eurovision Journey
In 2007, Serbia made its debut as an independent country, having previously participated as part of Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. There, they were represented by Marija Šerifović with “Molitva”, which managed to win the competition. Since their debut, Serbia has participated 15 times (12 of which, where they qualified for the Grand Final).
Luke Black represented Serbia at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool with his song “Samo mi se spava”. At this year’s competition, Serbia managed to qualify for the Grand Final, where they placed 24th. At the close of voting, he received 30 points – 14 coming from the jury and 16 from the televote.
