Following on from her 21st place at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, Georgia’s Nutsa has released her latest single “Mother’s Love”. To coincide with the release of the song, Nutsa also released the official music video, which you can watch below:

About “Mother’s Love”

The piano ballad released is quite a departure from her energetic 2024 Eurovision entry. The emotive piece is a relatively stripped back number that showcases her vocal abilities.

The song was written by Nutsa, alongside Jesse Nash, and Barrett Yeretsian, who also produced the song.

Who is Nutsa

Eurovision is far from Nutsa’s first foray into competitions, she started her career in 2011 by appearing on Georgia’s Got Talent, and in 2014 won the New Wave Music Festival.

Under the mononym Nutsa, she participated in the 2023 season of American Idol, where she managed to place in the Top 12, and even had the chance to have a duet with Kylie Minogue on the show.

She has also competed in The Voice of Turkey, and the Georgian editions of Your Face Sounds Familiar and Dancing with the Stars.

For the past few years, Nutsa has split her time between Los Angeles (where she works on her music) and Dubai (where she worked with Theater Dubai and performed at the 2020 Expo) but still calls Georgia home.

Georgia’s Eurovision Journey

Georgia’s history in Eurovision has been mixed since they began competing in 2007, represented by Sopho Khalvashi with “Visionary Dream”. Their highest placements – both coming in 9th – were achieved in 2010 and 2011, with Sopho Niharadze performing Shine and Eldrine with One More Day. They have not qualified for the final since 2016, where they were represented by Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz with Midnight Gold.

For 2024, former American Idol contestant Nutsa Buzaladze represented Georgia with her song “Firefighter”. In Malmö, Georgia qualified for the Grand Final for the first time since 2016. In the Grand Final Nutsa received 34 points, 19 of these were from the televoters, while the other 15 were from the national juries.
