Ukraine’s broadcaster Suspilne has confirmed participation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The contest, as reported will take place in Madrid, Spain. Suspilne has also confirmed that applications for the Ukrainian selection are now open.
Submissions open until July 3
Applications opened in June 5th. They will close again on July 3rd. It has also been confirmed that yet again, Ukraine will be using a national selection to choose their Junior Eurovision 2024 representative. To make the selection more accessible to young artists, applicants do not have to have an original song ready, they can submit two covers by popular artists.

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2006, Ukraine made their debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 17 times, and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо).
In 2022, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Anastasia Dymyd won the right to represent the nation with “Kvitka”, which managed to place 5th receiving 128 points from the jury and online vote.
