Following five weeks of semi-finals, Eurovizija.LT concluded on Saturday night with the final. Katarsis won the final and will represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2025 with their song “Tavo Akys”.

Katarsis has won EurovizijaLT 2025

The final took place at Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas. Ten artists qualified via the five semi-finals, while two artists qualified as wildcards. The voting took place in two stages. Firstly, a combination of a jury vote and televote determined the three artists who advanced to the superfinal. These artists were Katarsis, Liepa, and Lion Ceccah. The second round of voting was decided exclusively via the televote, which was won by Katarsis. This gave their the right to represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2025.

The show opened with an interpretive dance number. The first interval consisted of Rokas Yan performing “Ar būsi su manim?”, “Dantys”, “Surask Mane”, before being joined by Monika Liu and Vaidas Baumila to perform “Gegužis’ together. Following the group performance, her continued with “Seniai Seniai”, “Pabučiuok”, and “Melodramos”. Following the close of the super final vote, Silvester Belt reprised his winning entry ‘Luktelk”. One of the hosts Nombeko Augustė Khotseng performed a duet of “Tattoo” with Monika Marija, before being joined by Gabrielius Vagelis and Vilius Popendikis singing “Arcade”, finished off with all four of them alternating with renditions of “Snap”, “Hold Me Closer”, “I’ve been waiting for this night”, “Dance you off”, “Soldi”, “Wild Dances”, “My number one”, and finishing with “Waterloo”.

Lithuania’s Eurovision History

The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 22 times and made the Grand Final 15 times. LT United gave Lithuania their best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, where the country placed 6th.

In 2024, Silvester Belt represented Lithuania, participating with the song “Luktelk”. Performing in the first semi-final, Silvester qualified for the final in fourth place. In the Grand Final, Lithuania finished in 14th place overall, with 90 points – 32 points came from the juries, with another 58 points from the televote.
