🇮🇸 Semi Final 2 Results of Söngvakeppnin 2025 revealed

The second semi-final of Iceland’s Söngvakeppnin 2025 took place on Saturday night. Three more artists qualified to the final to complete next Saturday’s field of six.

Who qualified to the final?

The artists who participated in tonight’s semi-final, as well as the results are as follows:

These three artists will join Stebbi JAK, Ágúst and VÆB, who qualified from the first semi-final last weekend, in the final. The final will take place on Saturday 22nd February. The results of the semi-finals were decided exclusively via televote. However, Iceland will choose its next Eurovision representative by a 50%-50% combination of an international jury and the televote. In a change from previous years, there will no longer be a superfinal to decide the final results.

Iceland’s Eurovision History

Iceland made its debut on the Eurovision stage in 1986, finishing 16th with the song “Gleðibankinn” (Bank of Fun) by ICY. In their 35 appearances, Iceland has finished in top 10 an impressive 7 times. Their best result to date is second place, which they have achieved twice. The first time was in 1999, where Selma Björnsdóttir received 146 points for her performance of “All Out of Luck”. The second time was in 2009, with Yohanna singing “Is It True” and receiving 218 points.

2010 returnee Hera Björk represented Iceland with “Scared of Heights” at the 2024 contest. She placed last in the first semi-final, scoring only three points.
