LRT has opened ticket sales this week for the Eurovizija.lt national final, which will be held on 27 February 2026 at Twinsbet Arena in Vilnius.

New Lithuanian talents

LRT Chief Producer Audrius Giržadas said:

“The national selection always attracts a lot of attention – it is not only a path to the big Eurovision, but also a great opportunity to present Lithuanian music talents. We invite viewers to watch all the selection shows, and the final – live from the Twinsbet arena or on LRT.”

Also, this year, the national selection has been slightly changed.

Lithuania’s Eurovision journey

The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 22 times and made the Grand Final 15 times. LT United gave Lithuania its best-ever Eurovision result back in 2006, when the country placed 6th.

In 2025, Katarsis represented Lithuania, participating with the song “Tavo akys”. Performing in the second semi-final, Katarsis qualified for the final in sixth place. In the Grand Final, Lithuania finished in 16th place overall, scoring 96 points – 34 points came from the juries, while another 62 points came from the televote.
