The Österreichische Lotterien and its online arm win2day have announced their role as national sponsors of the Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, highlighting their commitment to fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity as the contest celebrates its milestone 70th edition.
Equal Opportunity
Under the event’s motto “United By Music”, the partnership aims to reinforce the idea that everyone deserves a chance to be seen and heard, whether on the Eurovision stage or in broader cultural life. By supporting the contest, the Austrian companies say they want to promote diversity, openness and social responsibility, values that resonate with Eurovision’s historic mission to bring people and cultures together through music.
Officials emphasised that this sponsorship goes beyond typical branding: it’s intended to spotlight equal access and inclusion, mirroring the contest’s founding spirit of unity and community. The collaboration serves both as a platform to boost Austrian cultural presence internationally and as a signifier of shared values between a major national event and one of the world’s most-watched musical showcases.
The Journey to Eurovision 2026
The journey to the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off immediately following JJ’s win in Basel, when Austria’s ORF accepted the rights to host the 70th edition of the contest. The bidding process started in June, with interested cities having until July 4 to submit their bid book. Innsbruck and Vienna were shortlisted, with the latter winning the right to host next year’s contest.
As for the organisation of the competition, the ‘core team‘ was revealed in June 2025, with further details about next year’s competition to be revealed in due course. The shows will take place on May 12th, 14th and 16th.
