The UK’s entry to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has been released. Look Mum No Computer will sing “Eins Zwei Drei” in Vienna in May.
“Eins Zwei Drei” gets first airplay
The song was played for the first time on Scott Mills’ breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 at 8am local time on Friday (March 6th). It comes after Look Mum No Computer revealed the title of the song – “Eins Zwei Drei” – on Monday (March 2nd). You can listen to the song here!
The song, sung in English and German, is a synth-heavy song that deals with Look Mum No Computer’s boredom at the mundane events of life. There are multiple references to British-specific catchphrases. Following its first airplay on BBC Radio 2, the UK will perform in the Grand Final, as well as in the second semi-final on May 14th.
Speaking on the release of the song, Look Mum No Computer said:
I am absolutely buzzing that the world can finally hear what we have created.Β
Eins, Zwei, DreiΒ was born during a session with the other writers and producers on my synthesizer βKosmoβ, and I couldnβt be prouder of it. I want people to be able to dance, shout, singalong, and just embrace the absurd jubilation that I hope it sparks when you listen to it. Weβre working hard on pulling together all the elements to make it one of the wildest performances to ever grace the Eurovision stage, which is no small feat! See you in Vienna!
