Lithuania’s Eurovision 2026 representative Lion Ceccah is preparing a highly ambitious staging concept for Vienna, featuring a technically complex installation that will be central to his performance.

Complex staging concept

According to LRT, this type of construction has never been used before in a Lithuanian Eurovision performance, highlighting the delegation’s intent to deliver a visually striking show in Vienna.

The planned installation is described as a highly intricate structure, requiring extensive preparation to function correctly during a live broadcast. To ensure everything runs smoothly, the structure will be transported to Vienna in advance for testing, a necessary step given the technical demands of the Eurovision stage.

Lion Ceccah said:

“This is not just a stage decoration, but a living stage sculpture, an installation that becomes the axis of the performance, transforms along with the music and ultimately collapses right on the stage. I wanted to create a spectacle that the audience has never seen before in any Lithuanian Eurovision performance – a strong visual break that would become the emotional climax of the performance. It’s important to me that everything on stage has meaning. This sculpture symbolizes the transformation and inner break that occurs at the climax of the work.

Lithuania’s Eurovision Journey

The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 22 times and made the Grand Final 15 times. LT United gave Lithuania their best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, where the country placed 6th.

In 2025, Katarsis represented Lithuania, participating with the song “Tavo akys”. Performing in the second semi-final, Katarsis qualified for the final in sixth place. In the Grand Final, Lithuania finished in 16th place overall, with 96 points – 34 points came from the juries, with another 62 points from the televote.
