🇷🇸 LAVINA : “It’s nice to see that our music inspires people to be creative”

At the Eurovision in Concert 2026 press conference this weekend, Tetiana had the chance to chat with LAVINA, who will represent Serbia at Eurovision 2026 with the song “Kraj mene”.

In the new interview, they talk about their reaction to the Eurovision in Concert stage, plans for touring after Eurovision, and some of the gifts they have received from fans.

Who are LAVINA?

LAVINA are a Serbian progressive metal band formed in 2020 in Niš. The band’s members are Luka Aranđelović (vocals), Pavle Aranđelović (keyboards),Pavle Samardžić (guitar), Andrija Cvetanović (guitar), Nikola Petrović (bass), and Bojan Ilić (drums). They released their debut album “Odyssey” in 2022, with all songs in English and a few more singles: “In Your Absence” and “Iron Will”. In 2025, Lavina performed at the Arsenal Fest in Serbian Kragujevac and Sziget festival in Hungary.

In 2026 they debuted at Pesma za Evroviziju and won both jury and audience vote by a landslide.

Serbia’s Eurovision journey

In 2007, Serbia made its debut as an independent country, having previously participated as part of Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. There, they were represented by Marija Šerifović with “Molitva”, which managed to win the competition. Since their debut, Serbia has participated 16 times (13 of which, where they qualified for the Grand Final).

Princ represented Serbia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel with his song “Mila”. At this year’s competition, Serbia failed to qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in fourteenth place with 28 points in the semi-final.
