Eurovision in Vienna is just less than a month away. In the lead-up to the start of rehearsals, we will get to know a bit more about this year’s artists, their discography, and their Eurovision 2026 journey so far. The next artist in this year’s preview is Croatia’s LELEK.
LELEK’s Eurovision Journey So Far
LELEK won the right to represent Croatia at Eurovision via the country’s long standing national selection Dora. ‘Andromeda’ won both the televote and the jury meaning it will now perform 3rd in the first semi final this May.
LELEK’s song for Eurovision 2026, “Andromeda”, was written by former PzE contestant Zorja, as well as Filip Lacković, Lazar Pajić and Tomislav Roso.
What do we think of “Andromeda”?
The team at That Eurovision Site has reacted to LELEK’s entry for Vienna. Nicklas gave his thoughts on “Andromeda”, which you can check out below.
Who are LELEK?
LELEK is a six-piece vocal group, formed of Inka Večerina Perušić, Judita Štorga, Korina Olivia Rogić, Lara Brtan and Marina Ramljak. The ethno-group first formed in 2024, with their first song being released in November of that year. Their first big break came at Dora 2025, where they finished in fourth place. Since then, the band have released several other songs, including with well-known Croatian singer Matija Cvek.
Croatia’s Eurovision Journey
Croatia has been a part of the Eurovision family since 1961, as part of Yugoslavia. Ten Croatian artists went on to represent Yugoslavia in the Contest – the most famous of which being Riva, who gave Yugoslavia its only win in 1989. The 1990 Contest was held in Zagreb as a tribute to their Croatian heritage. Croatia debuted in the Contest as an independent nation in 1993 with the band Put and their song “Don’t Ever Cry”. Since then, Croatia has gone on to score as high as 2nd place in 2024.
In 2025, Croatia chose Marko Bošnjak to represent the nation in Basel with his song “Poison Cake”. Performing in the first semi-final, Croatia failed to qualify for the final, placing twelfth with a televote score of 28 points.
