🇦🇺 Eurovision 2026 Rehearsal One: Australia turns “Eclipse” into a visually striking spectacle

Delta Goodrem representing Australia at Vienna 2026

Today, the rehearsals for Eurovision 2026 continue in Vienna. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Cyprus, Latvia, Denmark, Australia, Ukraine, Albania, Malta and Norway. The second to rehearse today is Australia’s Delta.

What did we learn about Delta Goodrem’s staging?

Delta Goodrem’s “Eclipse” leans fully into its core idea, light versus shadow, turning the stage into a constantly shifting visual space. From the lighting design to the floor graphics, everything is built around contrast, creating a performance that evolves as it unfolds.

Delta appears in a custom-designed gown covered in thousands of crystals, reflecting light from every angle and reinforcing the theme of the song. The look doesn’t just stand out, it interacts with the staging itself, becoming part of the overall effect rather than just a costume.

Photos from the first rehearsal should be up about 24 hours after it finishes. We’ll update this article when they’re out.

Who is Delta Goodrem?

Delta Goodrem is a 41-year-old singer-songwriter born in Sydney. She showed promise in music when she was young, taking up singing and dancing lessons as a child. Her debut album, released in 2003, was met with critical acclaim, and is one of the highest-selling albums by an Australian artist. She is also a well-known songwriter, writing songs for the likes of Celine Dion and Brian McFadden. In her recent career, she has been the supporting act for legendary artists including Shania Twain.

Australia’s Eurovision journey

The most recent country to debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, Australia debuted in 2015. Guy Sebastian represented the land down under with his entry “Tonight Again” in Vienna, where they placed 5th. Since their debut, they have participated every single year of the competition.

Australia internally selected Go-Jo to represent them in 2024 with the song “Milkshake Man”. He ultimately failed to reach the Grand Final, placing eleventh in the second semi-final with 41 televote points.
