๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Delta Goodrem: “I feel honoured, I feel excited”

At this year’s Australia embassy event George had a chance to chat to this year’s Australian entrant Delta Goodrem.

Check out our interview with Delta Goodrem here!

In the interview, George & Delta talked about being one of the favourites, what it means to represent her home country Australia and how her first rehearsal went.

Who is Delta Goodrem?

Delta Goodrem is a 41-year-old singer-songwriter born in Sydney. She showed promise in music when she was young, taking up singing and dancing lessons as a child. Her debut album, released in 2003, was met with critical acclaim, and is one of the highest-selling albums by an Australian artist. She is also a well-known songwriter, writing songs for the likes of Celine Dion and Brian McFadden. In her recent career, she has been the supporting act for legendary artists including Shania Twain.

Delta Goodrem will sing “Eclipse” in Vienna – a song written by Delta herself, as well as Ferras Alqaisi, Jonas Myrin and Michael Fatkin.

Australia’s Eurovision Journey

The most recent country to debut into the Eurovision Song Contest, Australia debuted in 2015. Guy Sebastian represented the land down under with his entry “Tonight Again” in Vienna, where they placed 5th. Since their debut, they have participated every single year of the competition.

Australia internally selected Go-Jo to represent them in 2024 with the song “Milkshake Man”. He ultimately failed to reach the Grand Final, placing eleventh in the second semi-final with 41 televote points.

Will you be supporting Delta this year? As always, please let us know what you think by getting involved in the comments below. Also, be sure to follow โ€˜That Eurovision Siteโ€™ on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Threads, tumblr, and Bluesky for more information about Eurovision 2026!
