🇧🇹 Nyendra to represent Bhutan at Eurovision Asia 2026

The journey to Bangkok has begun. Today, Bhutan held its selection “Rhythm of Bhutan”, where their selection Rhythm of Bhutan took place. Nyendra won the selection and will represent Bhutan in Bangkok with the entry “Lhayi Semo” (ལྷ་ཡི་སྲས་མོ།)”

The five entries that participated in Rhythm of Bhutan, and the results are as follows:

Bhutan’s representative for Eurovision Asia was selected by a mixture of Jury Voting (40%), Local Voting (40%) and International Voting (20%)

The first edition of Rhythm of Bhutan was hosted by Phub Tshering and Kelzang Dolkar, with the participating artists performing to a panel of four established names in the Bhutanese industry: Choeying Jatsho, Mr. Pema Samdrup, Sonam Dorji, and Ugyen

What’s coming up?

We won’t have to wait long until we find out the next Eurovision Asia representative, as Malaysia’s representative will be revealed on Saturday, August 15. The other national selections that are currently known are as follows:

At the time of writing, the dates for the selection of representatives for Cambodia and Vietnam are still to be confirmed.

What we know about Eurovision Asia 2026

Early this year, EBU and Voxovation have confirmed the launch of Eurovision Asia, following its initial attempt to launch the format in 2017. The inaugual edition of the competition is set to take place on November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand.
