Armenian world music duo Ladaniva are back with another single. The Eurovision 2024 representatives have this week released new song “Margarita”.
About “Margarita”
Ladaniva, the world music duo who represented Armenia in the Contest in Malmö, have release their latest single. The new track “Margarita” from the pair follows the release of “Yasaman” earlier in the summer. Like much of their previous work, “Margarita” is a contemporary pop song, taking influence from traditional Armenian folk, Latin American musicality and African beats. The song is rounded off in classic Ladaniva style with Frech-Armenian flair. The vast majority of the lyrics to “Margarita” are in the French language.
The new single was written by Jaklin and Louis of the duo themselves. The release of “Margarita” comes ahead of Ladaniva’s upcoming second studio album. Their debut self-titled album was released in 2023, and was followed by the “Ladaniva (Postcards)” deluxe version in 2024. The band are excepted to announce more information about their next project in the coming months.
Ladaniva are due to be playing a string of shows in their home of France throughout the rest of 2026. The band have also announced a large show at the famous “La Cigale” music venue in Paris, in December. More information about the upcoming shows can be found on the duo’s website and social media accounts.
