🇵🇱 ALICJA releases new single “SHE’S BACK”

Poland’s most recent Eurovision representative, ALICJA, is back with new music! The “Pray” singer has this week released her first single since performing on the Vienna Eurovision stage – “SHE’S BACK”.

About “SHE’S BACK”

Still fresh from her success at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, ALICJA has released her new single “SHE’S BACK”. The track is the Polish singer’s first since taking the stage in the Contest’s Grand Final earlier this year.

“SHE’S BACK” is an empowering, inspiring and captivating track, featuring ALICJA’s signature gospel-infused vocal. The song has elements of choral backing vocals, making the sound feel huge. The track also features a slight rap breakdown, much like her Eurovision entry “Pray”. This new single is high-energy and incredibly infectious. It is almost impossible to not feel strong and confident after listening to this track.

ALICJA said of the new single:

getting back on my feet was one thing. letting myself feel happy again was another. “SHE’S BACK” is my personal victory. trusting myself. finding my confidence. letting the joy show. if you’ve ever had to find your way back to yourself, this one’s for you too.

The new single from ALICJA was written and composed by ALICJA herself, alongside Sinclair The Mage, Paul Visser and Cameron Warren. The song is released on the Tenace Records label.

Who is ALICJA?

ALICJA was born Alicja Maria Szemplińska in Ciechanów, Poland, in 2002. In her childhood, she attended vocal classes at the Maria Konopnicka Powiat Centre of Culture and Arts in Ciechanów and sang in a church choir. Despite her young age, she had already had a strong career in Poland, having shot to fame after winning The Voice of Poland in 2019.

ALICJA’s Eurovision journey

In 2020, ALICJA won the Polish selection for Eurovision Szansa na Sukces, and was due to represent the country in the Contest with “Empires”, before Eurovision 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19. ALICJA performed “Empires” during the interval act of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020, held in Warsaw. She returned to the selection in 2023, with her song “New Home”, but finished in sixth place in the Polish national final.

Ahead of the 2026 Contest in Vienna, ALICJA returned to the Polish selection stage with her song “Pray”. The track was written by Alicja herself, as well as Weronika Gabryelczyk and Sinclair Alan Malcolm. “Pray” would win FinaÅ‚ krajowych kwalifikacji with almost double the votes of the second place entry, earning ALICJA the right to represent Poland at Eurovision once again.

Performing in the first of the Semi-Finals at the Contest in Vienna, ALICJA placed second out of the fifteen acts, earning a spot in the Saturday Grand Final. Poland would perform in 18th slot in the running order in the Vienese Eurovision Grand Final. At the close of voting in Vienna, “Pray” placed twelfth in the Contest, receiving a total of 150 points. Of these, 133 were awarded by the international juries, with ALICJA receiving the 12 jury points from Austria, Belgium, Germany and Moldova. Poland were also given 17 points from the public televote.
