Pabandom iš naujo! to select Lithuania’s representative for Eurovision 2022?
Despite their confirmation of participation, it is yet to be confirmed how Lithuania will be selecting their 22nd Eurovision representative and will be confirmed at a later date.
Looking through at how Lithuania has selected its Eurovision representative, the only time they selected their representative internally was during their debut in 1994, whilst their other representatives were selected via a National Final.
Lithuania’s Eurovision Journey
The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 21 times and made the Grand Final 14 times, where their best result was in 2006 with LT United and their entry “We Are The Winners”
Lithuania’s latest Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by The Roop, who was due to represent them at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. For 2021, the group participated with “Discoteque”, which saw them qualify for the Grand Final once again, where they managed to place 8th overall, with 220 Points.
