Halloween is right around the corner! The team at ‘That Eurovision Site’ are very excited – so excited that we have complied a list of songs to get you in Halloween Party mood. From rock, to ballads, to pure pop bangers, there is a wide range of spooky songs that Eurovision or National Final artists have graced us with over the years. Below are a few songs that we wanted to give a shoutout to.
“End Of Time” by Keiino
Any song that starts with the line ‘Oh My God it’s Armageddon” definitely deserves a shoutout in our book! The visualizer for the track see Alexandra, Tom and Fred dressed up in spooktacular attire. Keiino have delivered a lot of pop bops over the years, so when they released this song for Halloween earlier this month fans were beyond excited.
“Russian Woman” by Manizha (with a ghoulish twist)
No, it’s not 100% what you are thinking. On 28th October, Manizha released a Halloween-inspired version of her song “Russian Woman” accompanied by a music video. The video has a real Paranormal Activity feel, enough to spook any viewer. Take a look at the video here:
“Under The Ladder” by Melovin
Any Halloween playlist has to have this included, right? In the stage performance, Melovin literally ascends from a coffin-like piano, with a very vampire-like style. Melovin’s style partnered with his intense performance makes this the perfect song to get in the Halloween spirit.
“Wolves Of The Sea” by Pirates of the Sea
Pirates and Halloween? It just makes sense, doesn’t it? This catchy song from Latvia in 2008 is bound to bring the fun to any Halloween party. The chants, the costumes everything about this song and performance is pure fun!
“Un Peu De Poivre, Un Peu De Sel” by Tonia
For sure this song sounds sweet and lovely, however this song has some spooky connotations. Tonia’s 1966 entry is all about casting a spell in order to make people fall in love with her? Surely that would be quite creepy right? Or maybe it’s romantic. You decide.
Abba? ( with a twist)
Okay, so it’s not actually ABBA. It’s a compilation of Abba covers with some sinister twists. This playlist was created by YouTuber Brian David Gilbert who entitled his project AAAH!BAA. You can take a listen to his covers here:
