Surprise! Today the third artist that will be heading to Turin for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed. Bulgarian broadcaster BNT has announced in a press conference that Rock supergroup Intelligent Music Project will represent the Balkan nation in Turin with the song “Intention”, with the song due to be released in December.

About Intelligence Music Project
The Rock supergroup currently consists of its creator Dr. Milen Vrabevsk, alongside Bisser Ivanov, Slavin Slavchev, Ivo Stefanov, Dimiter Sirakov, and drummer Stoyan Yankoulov. Of the line-up, Eurofans will be familiar with Stoyan, who has represented Bulgaria twice. In 2007, with “Voda (Water)” which placed 5th, and in 2013 with “Samo Shampioni” which placed 12th.
With its ever-changing line-up of musicians, these are some of the musicians who have contributed to the project: Simon Phillips (TOTO, Protocol), Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow, Black Sabbath), Joseph Williams (TOTO), John Payne (ex-Asia), John Lawton (Uriah Heep, Luciferโs Friend), Carl Sentence (Nazareth), Nathan East (Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, etc.), Todd Sucherman (Styx), and Time Pierce (Joe Cocker, Michael Jackson).
Bulgaria’s Eurovision Journey
Bulgaria is a country that really wants to win the Eurovision Song Contest, especially since its return in 2016. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2005 with the song ‘Lorraine’ sung by Kaffe, the song came 19th in the semi-final scoring 49 points. Bulgaria’s best ever result came in 2017 with ‘Beautiful Mess’ by Kristian Kostov, the song placed 2nd in the Grand Final that year scoring 615 points.
In 2021 Bulgaria was represented by VICTORIA in the Eurovision Song Contest, she sang the song ‘Growing Up Is Getting Old’ placing 11th in the Grand Final with 170 points.
