🇧🇬 Intelligent Music Project release 2022 Eurovision Song Contest entry “Intention”

Eurovision 2022 season has now well and truly kicked off! This morning Bulgaria became the first country to unveil their Eurovision Song Contest 2022 entry. It was announced back in November that Intelligent Music Project would be representing Bulgaria. Now Intelligent Music Project has released their song “Intention” this morning. The music video for “Intention” was premiered on the Bulgarian morning show “Денят започва с Георги Любенов”

About “Intention”

“Intention” has a very classic rock feel. This brings something different than what we would usually expect from Bulgaria. . Dr. Milen Vrabevski has written and composed “Intention”. Milen is also the person who created the concept of the Intelligent Music Project. Prior to the song being released, BNT released a tweet containing the lyrics of “Intention”

About Intelligence Music Project

The Rock supergroup currently consists of its creator Dr. Milen Vrabevsk, alongside Bisser Ivanov, Slavin Slavchev, Ivo Stefanov, Dimiter Sirakov, and drummer Stoyan Yankoulov. Of the line-up, Euro fans will be familiar with Stoyan, who has represented Bulgaria twice. In 2007, with “Voda (Water)” which placed 5th, and in 2013 with “Samo Shampioni” which placed 12th.

Bulgaria’s Eurovision Journey

Bulgaria is a country that really wants to win the Eurovision Song Contest, especially since its return in 2016. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2005 with the song ‘Lorraine’ sung by Kaffe, the song came 19th in the semi-final scoring 49 points. Bulgaria’s best ever result came in 2017 with ‘Beautiful Mess’ by Kristian Kostov, the song placed 2nd in the Grand Final that year scoring 615 points.

In 2021 Bulgaria was represented by VICTORIA in the Eurovision Song Contest, she sang the song ‘Growing Up Is Getting Old’ placing 11th in the Grand Final with 170 points.
