Directors for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest revealed

Before 2021 came to a close we received further news about the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. At the time of writing, we now know 41 countries will be participating, and that Atelier Francesca Montinaro will design the stage for the contest. Now, it’s been revealed that Duccio Forzano and Cristian Biondani will be directing the 66th edition of the competition in Turin.

Bringing experience into the table

Duccio Forzano has a large amount of experience directing. The majority of the shows he has directed have aired on Rai, where his work includes directing the Festival di Sanremo six times (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019).

Cristian Biondani has previously worked on a Eurovision event when he co-directed the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Gordon Bonello, which took place in Bulgaria. In addition, he has also directed for artists such as Lady Gaga, REM, Linkin Park.
