🇸🇪 In-House dancers for Melodifestivalen 2022 revealed

With less than a month to go, the final preparations continue for Melodifestivalen 2022, which is due to commence on February 5. As we get closer, further information about the contest has been revealed. Today, SVT has revealed the In-House Dancers in this year’s competition.

The In-House Dancers are mainly seen in the opening acts, interval acts. In some instances, you will also see them performing with the competing acts in the competition. This year, Kenny Lantz, Kim Pastor, Lamin Holmén, and Lisa Arnold will be this year’s In-House Dancers for Melodifestivalen.

Seen in Melodifestivalen and Eurovision

Starting things off we have Kenny Lantz, who has appeared numerous times as a dancer both in Melodifestivalen and Eurovision Song Contest. His recent appearance as a dancer at the Eurovision Song Contest was with Cyprus with Tamta and “Replay” which placed 13th in Tel Aviv.

Lisa has appeared as a dance for Melodifestivalen, as well as numerous TV shows in Sweden. She has appeared as a dancer for numerous Melodifestivalen entries, notably, she has appeared a dancer for Boris Rene, OVÖ, Nanne Grönvall as well as Klara Hammarström.

Next up is Lamin. Besides appearing numerous times as a dancer in both Melodifestivalen and Eurovision, he has also danced in Idol Sweden, as well as the MTV EMAs in 2017. In addition to this, he is also a model, where he has modeled for Selam Fessahaye, appeared in numerous music videos such as Molly Hammar’s “Blossom“. Recently, he has appeared in an advert for the dating app “Bumble”. Lamin was one of the backing dancers for Tusse in Rotterdam, for Tamta in Tel Aviv, as well as for Robin Bengtsson in Kyiv with “I Can’t Go On”.

Kim has appeared as a dancer in Melodifestivalen and numerous shows in Sweden. She has also danced for other artists such as Zara Larsson, Melfest Alum; Wiktoria, Alice Stenlöf, and Bianca Ingrosso. One of her recent appearances was in 2021, where she was part of Destiny’s team in Rotterdam and her entry “Je Me Casse” which placed 7th overall.

What we know about Melodifestivalen 2022

Melodifestivalen 2022 will be hosted by Oscar Zia, whilst Farah Abadi will follow the journey of the competing artists in the next edition of the competition. Tickets for next year’s competition went on sale on November 8. The participating artists, as well as their running order position, can be found here.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey

In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win six times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015).

In 2021, Sweden was represented by Tusse, who won the 60th edition of the competition and competed with the song “Voices”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final and placed 14th with 109 points from the jury and televoters.
