Eurovision.tv and RAI have just revealed the first look at the stage for Eurovision 2022!

The stage design, created by Francesca Montinaro, is titled The Sun Within. We now get to see our first look at the design that was teased last month!
About the design
Montinaro describes the multitude of influences that she has drawn upon in designing this year’s Eurovision stage:
The kinetic sun, source of spectacular movements and tricks of light, rules the stage and represents our Italian attitude: always on the move, rebellious, creative, welcoming, passionate, intuitive. We are the ones with the sun within, and this is our way to be in this world.
The cascade of water that frames the stage, allegorically represents the sea that surrounds us, a symbol of our complex culture. The stage is our peninsula: a country where each contestant is welcomed, no matter where they are coming from.

We also know more about the design of the Green Room as well.
The artists and their teams will be hosted in a lush Italian garden, where vegetation mingles with rays of light, suspended between reality and illusion, transporting them to a playful and architectural dimension.

The design of the stage blends the digital with the analogue, the traditional with the modern, to demonstrate a range of light and movement.
Eurovision Song Contest 2022
Italy won the right to host the 2022 Eurovision Contest after Måneskin won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Since then, Turin was selected to host the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which is due to take place on 10th, 12th, and 14th May. It’s been revealed that 41 countries will be competing in the 66th edition of the competition with Armenia & Montenegro returning to the competition.
The slogan for this year’s Eurovision is The Sound of Beauty, and you can see more about how the stage fits in with the concept here!
