After revealing the running order of the final of Melodifestivalen, SVT has now also revealed who the international jury will be. The international jury accounts for for 50% of the total result, with the other half being determined by televote. The final of Melodifestivalen will take place Saturday, March 12.
The countries of the international jury
- Netherlands
- Finland
- Spain
- Australia
- Czech Republic
- Ireland
- Israel
- Italy
All of these countries are returning to Melfest. The Netherlands and Israel were part of the international Melfest jury last year. The other countries have also been a part of the jury in recent years. Ireland have had the longest wait, returning to the international jury for the first time since 2012.
What we know about Melodifestivalen 2022
Melodifestivalen 2022 is hosted by Oscar Zia, whilst Farah Abadi will follow the journey of the competing artists in this edition of the competition. This edition of Melodifestivalen was supposed to be the return of the tour. Unfortunately, due to the COVID situation in Sweden, the shows are currently taking place in Avicii Arena and Friends Arena. Friends Arena will be the venue for the final. Klara Hammarström is the first artist to perform, while MEDINA will close the show. You can find the full running order here.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win six times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015).
In 2021, Sweden was represented by Tusse, who won the 60th edition of the competition and competed with the song “Voices”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final and placed 14th with 109 points from the jury and televoters.
