Austria’s Eurovision Journey

Despite making their debut in the second-ever Eurovision Song Contest, Austria has had a checkered history at the competition. Their first entry came in 1957, with Bob Martin’s “Wohin, kleines Pony?” – finishing in last place with 3 points. Austria would later go on to score two wins at the Contest – first 1966 and most recently in 2014 with Conchita Wurst’s “Rise Like a Phoenix”.

In 2021, Vincent Bueno represented Austria in Rotterdam with his song “Amen”. Performing in the second semi-final, Austria finished 12th in a field of 17. At the close of voting, Vincent Bueno received 66 points.
