With the final pre-party event of the season is closing in, the confirmations keep on rolling in, as its been revealed that Switzerland’s Eurovision 2022 representative Marius Bear is among the performers on Pre-Party ES on April 15/16 at Madrid.

About the Pre-Party: The Spanish Pre-Party in the capital of Spain will once again host the pre-party. The organizers of the event have invited all of the participating countries and will welcome all the interested participants with open arms to perform for the Spanish public. At the time of writing Krista Siegfrids (Finland 2013), has been confirmed as the host of the Welcome Pre-Party on the Friday evening.

Tickets: Tickets for Saturday’s show are now sold out. However, there are still a variety of ticket types available for Welcome Pre-Party ES

  • General Ticket (Friday Evening) – Concert Ticket in the General Zone and the After-Party – €30 + Fees
  • Fan Ticket (Friday Evening) – Concert Ticket in the Fan Zone, the After-Party – €40 + Fees
  • FamilyZone (Friday Evening) – €25 + Fees

Switzerland’s Eurovision Journey

In 1956, Switzerland was one of the countries that debuted in the inaugural competition in 1956, where they won with Lys Assia and “Refrain”. Since then they have participated on 61 occasions, with 50 of them making the Grand Final.

Switzerland’s recent participation saw them being represented by Gjon’s Tears with their song “Tout l’Univers”, which saw them qualify for the Grand Final for a second consecutive participation. Overall, Switzerland finished 3rd, after receiving 432 points from the jury and televoters.
