It has been a very busy day in terms of information for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. We have had the artwork for this year’s contest revealed. The semi-final allocation draw and official handover for Eurovision 2023 has also taken place.
Scott Mills and Måns Zermerlöw reveal more on “Eurovisioncast”
Scott Mills and Måns Zermerlow have now also revealed information about the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest on the BBC’s flagship show The One Show. They have announced a new podcast called “EurovisionCast” which will start on Friday February 3rd. When speaking about the podcast Måns said the following:
“We are discussing Eurovision in every aspect, in a fun way we are trying to describe what it is, how the voting system works, how the semi-finals work, basically what Eurovision is.”

There is already a teaser out already which can be heard here. Måns will not be the only host on the podcast he will be joined by Daniel Rosney ( BBC News Eurovision Reporter), Ngunan Adamu ( Radio Merseyside presenter) and Nina Warhurst (BBC Breakfast). The podcast will be available on BBC Sounds and also will be streamed on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Merseyside
What we know about Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool
Although Ukraine won the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, due to the ongoing Russian invasion they are unable to hostthe 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. Instead, the United Kingdom stepped in, as 2022’s runner-up; Liverpool will host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest on the 9th, 11th, and 13th of May 2023. The contest will take place at the M&S Arena, with 37 countries taking part.
In January 2023 The official artwork and slogan for the contest were confirmed, the them of this year’s contest is “United By Music”. The Semi-Final allocation draw also took place in late January.
