Tonight the final of Pabandom iš naujo! 2023, Lithuania’s selection show for Eurovision took place and Monika Linkytė will now represent Lithuania in Liverpool at Eurovision 2023 with her song “Stay”
Pabandom iš naujo! Final
The Final was broadcast live on television, online and radio in Lithuania. Tonight was the final show of the Lithuanian series after 2 heats and 2 semi-finals held over the last few weeks, with 30 acts being narrowed down to 10 in the final. The winner was picked by a combination of televoting and a professional jury.

As the winner of Pabandom iš naujo!, Monika will now prepare to travel to Liverpool and represent Lithuania at Eurovision 2023 in May. Lithuania will be competing in the 2nd Semi-Final on Thursday 11th May, hoping to secure Lithuania a place in the final once more.
As the winner, Monika also receives a 5,000 EUR prize from the LATGA association.
During this evening show, we had guest performances from Duncan Lawrence, winner of Eurovision 2019 for the Netherlands; Last year’s Lithuanian Eurovision representative and jury member for tonight, Monkia Liu and Tvorchi, who will represent Ukraine at Eurovision this year.

Lithuania’s Eurovision Journey
The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 21 times and made the Grand Final 14 times. LT United gave Lithuania their best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, where the country placed 6th.
Lithuania’s latest Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by Monika Liu, participated with the song “Sentimentai”. Qualifying for the final, Lithuania finished in 14th place overall, with 128 points.
