A couple of weeks after being releasing their Eurovision 2023 entry “Évidemment” for France, La Zarra continues to be confirmed for more events in the Pre-Party Circuit. Their third confirmed stop is London, for this year’s London Eurovision Party on April 16.
This will be the third Pre-Party event La Zarra is confirmed for, as they will also be performing at Pre-Party ES in Madrid on April 7-8, and Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam on April 15.
London Eurovision Party 2023
About the Pre-Party: London Eurovision Party 2023 will take place at the newly-opened ‘HERE at Outernet’ in Tottenham Court Road after the 2022 edition was hosted at the Hard Rock Hotel in Marble Arch. This will mark the final event of the 2023 Eurovision Pre-Party Circuit.
Acts: Joker Out (Slovenia 2023), Wild Youth (Ireland 2023), Tamara Todevska (North Macedonia 2008 and 2019), Teya and Salena (Austria 2023), Voyager (Australia 2023), Monika Linkytė (Lithuania 2015 and 2023) and La Zarra (France 2023) are the acts confirmed for the event so far.
Tickets: Tickets for this year’s event have now Sold Out. However, a limited number of production tickets will go on sale on 3 April.
France’s Eurovision Journey
France is a powerhouse in Eurovision, debuting in the first Contest in 1956. Their first entries finished in second place, but no scores were ever published. Since then, France has gone on to win the Contest five times. The most recent win came in 1977, with Marie Myriam’s “L’enfant et l’oiseau”, scoring 136 points.
Recently, France had slumped in results but a change in direction in 2016 has seen a boost in results. Amir finished in 6th position for France with “J’ai charché”, followed by 12th, 13th and 16th places respectively. In 2022, France sent Breton artists Alvan and Ahez with their song “Fulenn”. At the close of voting, France finished in 24th place, earning 17 points.
