🇷🇴 Theodor Andrei to perform at Eurovision in Concert 2023

The line-up for this year’s Pre-Parties continue to take shape. This time, its Eurovision in Concert, which has revealed that Theodor Andrei is part of their line-up. Theodor will be representing Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest, with his song “D.G.T. (Off And On)”. He will perform his Eurovision entry at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam on April 15th.

About the Pre-Party: Known for being the biggest Eurovision Pre-Party, fans from all over the world travel to the Dutch capital of Amsterdam to see the acts perform live. The concert will take place on April 15, 2023, at AFAS Live, which has been the home of the concert since 2018. The show will be hosted by Cornald Maas and Hila Noorzai.

Acts: At the time of writing Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper (The Netherlands 2023), Gustaph (Belgium 2023), Joker Out (Slovenia 2023), Wild Youth (Ireland 2023), Voyager (Australia 2023), Monika Linkyte (Lithuania 2015, 2023), Teya and Salena (Austria 2023), La Zarra (France 2023), Blanca Paloma (Spain 2023), Blanka (Poland 2023), Alessandra (Norway 2023), Piqued Jacks (San Marino 2023), Alika (Estonia 2023), Lord of the Lost (Germany 2023), Remo Forrer (Switzerland 2023), Diljá (Iceland 2023), TuralTuran X (Azerbaijan 2023), Mae Muller (United Kingdom 2023), Pasha Parfeni (Moldova 2023), Sudden Lights (Latvia 2023), The Busker (Malta 2023), and Theodor Andrei (Romania 2023) have been announced to perform, whilst Katrina formerly of Katrina and The Waves (United Kingdom 1997) has been announced as a Special Guest.

Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest

Romania joined the Eurovision family in the Eastern wave of enlargement, making their debut in 1994. Their entry – Dan Bittman’s “Dincolo de nori” – finished in 21st place with a total of 14 points. At the introduction of semi-finals, Romania found their stride and were present in every Eurovision final until 2018. Romania’s best result is third place, scored twice in 2005 and 2010 respectively.

In 2022, Romania was represented by WRS with his song – “Llámame”. Performning at the second semi-final in Turin, Romania qualified for the final for the first time since 2017. At the close of voting in the final, Romania finished 18th in a field of 25, scoring 65 points.
