More details about RTV San Marino’s participation revealed
In a tweet posted to their official Twitter account, the Sammarinese broadcaster revealed the two people in charge of Piqued Jacks’ appearance at the Contest.
Nick Marianos will take charge of Piqued Jacks’ performance in the M&S Bank Arena. This will involve creating the onstage performance, as well as the LED screens and the overall narrative. Marianos will also lead a team working out finer details of the band’s participation, following their win at Una Voce Per San Marino.
Noell Maggini is responsible for the band’s styling, taking on the role of Fashion Designer. Maggini is in charge of the band’s outfits for their performance, but will also spearhead their looks for other events during the two-week period. This will include the band’s outfits for the Turquoise Carpet in Liverpool on the 7th of May.
The Eurovision journey for San Marino
As one of the smallest countries in Europe, San Marino made its debut in the competition in 2008 with Miodio and the song โCompliceโ. Since then they have participated in the competition 12 times (3 of which where they qualified for the Grand Final), and their best result was in 2019, with Serhat and โSay Na Na Naโ.
Their recent participation saw them being represented by Italian superstar Achille Lauro, with the song โStripperโ. On May 12th, Achille performed in the second semi-final, but unfortunately didn’t qualify for the Grand Final. Overall, San Marino placed 14th in the semi-final, receiving 50 points from the jury and televoters.
