During this year’s Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam last weekend, Tim had the opportunity to talk with Remo Forrer, who is representing Switzerland at Eurovision 2023 with his song “Watergun”

During their discussion, Tim and Remo talked about participating in The Voice, what the fans should expect from his performance in Liverpool, and how he gets his voice ready for when he performs his song.
Who is Remo Forrer
Remo Forrer is a 21 year old singer from Hemburg which is in the St Gallen region of Switzerland.
Remo’s career in Switzerland started when he appeared on The Voice in 2019 – where he made it all the way to the final. During his time on The Voice Switzerland he was coached by Noah Veraguth, a famous Swiss singer – whom Remo also duetted with during his time on the show.
Not only does Remo have a good voice, but he has also self taught himself to play many musical instruments such as the flute, accordion and the piano.
Remo’s Eurovision 2023 song “Watergun was written by Argyle Singh, Ashley Hicklin and Mikołaj Trybulec.
Switzerland’s Eurovision Journey
Switzerland both hosted and debuted in the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Their first participation was successful, as they won with Lys Assia’s “Refrain”. Since then, they have participated on 62 occasions, making the Grand Final 51 times.
Switzerland’s most recent participation saw them being represented by Marius Bear with his song “Boys Do Cry”, which saw them qualify for the Grand Final for a third consecutive participation. Overall, Switzerland finished 17th, after receiving 78 points from the jury and 0 points from the televoters.
