A few months after his appearance at Eurovision 2023 as part of the Liverpool Songbook, Iceland’s Eurovision 2021 representative Daði Freyr released his new album “I Made An Album” ahead of the commencement of his European Tour. To coincide with the release, Daði has released a video for “Bitte”, which is one of the tracks on the album.
An album that was two and a half years in the making
Speaking about the release, Daði mentioned that the album was 2.5 years in the making, that a lot has happened in that time, and that he is thankful that he gets to do this.
I started making this album two and a half years ago. During the making of this album I had another kid, did my first ever tours and finally started meeting people and traveling again after covid. Life after covid is very different for me than life before covid. I have never traveled nearly as much. I worked on this album in so many different places, in my studio, in airports, on buses, in airbnbs and in a lot of different countries. This album has been going with me wherever I go for a while and it feels so good to finally have it out. Seeing it as 1 thing and not just 12 different songs is a really cool feeling. It’s been a journey and I am so thankful that I get to do this.
Daði is now set to go on his “I’m Doing A Tour”, which is set to comment on August 30 until December 18. If you would like to find out more about the tour, you can find the information right here.
