Today, Luxembourg’s broadcaster RTL will reveal the entries of the eight artists who will compete in the Luxembourg Song Contest. The fifth artist to reveal their entry is Krick who will be participating with their entry “Drowning in the Rain”
About “Drowning in the Rain”
It has been revealed that the music and lyrics was written by Elsa Søllesvik, Andreas Stone Johansson, and Tom Oehler with the latter two producing the track. You are now able to listen to the full version of “Drowning in the Rain” on RTL Play right here.

What we know about the Luxembourg Song Contest 2024
The Luxembourg Song Contest 2024 will take place on January 27th. The national final will take place at Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. The winner will represent Luxembourg at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. The national final will be broadcast live on “RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg”, but will be available on all of RTL Luxembourg’s streaming platforms, so fans worldwide can enjoy the show. The show will be available with both English and French commentary. English commentary on RTL Today, and the French on RTL Infos. RTL Radio Luxembourg will also broadcast a radio version of the national final in English. All versions of the show will be available to watch later on RTL Play.
Luxembourg’s Eurovision Journey
Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with their first entries being “Ne crois pas” and “Les amants de minuit”, both performed by Michèle Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 37 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times – in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.
Luxembourg last took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, when Modern Times represented the nation with the song “Donne-moi une chance”. At the close of voting, Luxembourg finished 20th in a field of 25 with 11 points. Following this participation, Luxembourg withdrew from the Contest but is returning to the Contest in time for 2024.
