🇮🇪 Next In Line: “Don’t write us off”

Ireland is continuing its preparations for Eurosong 2024. As the artists gear up for the final on January 26th, Jazzi speaks to Next In Line. They are vying to represent Ireland in Malmö with their song “Love Like Us”.

Together, Jazzi and Next In Line talk about their feelings leading up to Eurosong 2024. They also speak about how they were part of the creative process for their song “Love Like Us”. Next In Line also speak about their love for the contest, from past Irish entries to past Eurovision winners.

About Next In Line

Next In Line are a relatively new 5 piece boyband, managed former X Factor judge Louis Walsh. The band is made up of Conor O’Farrell, Nueng Kelly, Harry O’Connell, Conor Davis and Joshua Regala. The band hails from all different parts of Ireland. Their Eurosong 2024 hit is their debut single however they have made a name for themselves on TikTok already. The band’s project kicked off in September 2022, when they were debuted on RTÉ’s “The Late Late Show”.

Ireland’s Eurovision journey

In 1965, Ireland made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest with Butch Moore and the song “Walking the Streets in the Rain”, which managed to place 6th. Since their debut, Ireland has participated 56 times (making the Grand Final 45 times), and has won the competition seven times, which is currently tied for the record of most wins.

Ireland’s latest Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Wild Youth, with their song “We Are One”. They placed 12th in the semi-final, receiving 10 points from the televote, missing out on the Grand Final.
