With over a week to go until Latvia commences its Eurovision 2024 selection Supernova, Latvian broadcaster LTV has revealed that Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks will host this year’s competition.
Hosting the selection for the third year in a row
The duo is no stranger to hosting Supernova, having hosted Supernova together in 2022 and 2023. This will be Ketija’s seventh year hosting Supernova, after hosting the competition in 2015, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2023, and this will be the third occassion that Lauris’ has hosted Latvia’s Eurovision selection.
In the lead-up to the event, LTV has released a promo clip of this year’s competition which features Ketija and Lauris, as well as the participants of this year’s competition.
Supernova 2024
After starting with 108 songs, LTV has whittled it down to 15. These artists will take part in a semi-final on February 3 before 10 move onto the live final. This will take place on February 10.

Latvia’s Eurovision Journey
Latvia made their Eurovision debut in 2000, finishing 3rd with “My Star” by Brainstorm. They have performed at every contest since and managed to win in 2002. Marie N sang “I Wanna,” scoring 176 points and bringing Eurovision to Riga in the process. Latvia also managed to finish in the top 10 two more times, in 2005 and 2015.
Latvia’s most recent entry on the Eurovision stage was Sudden Lights, who performed “Aijā”. The song failed to qualify from the semi-final, finishing 11th with 34 points from the televote.
