Albania’s Eurovision 2024 representative Besa has revealed details about the planned revamp of her entry “Zemrën n’dorë”.

Revamp to be released this week

After winning Festivali i Këngës 62, Besa confirmed that she would revamp her song ahead of Eurovision 2024. In a tweet this past Sunday, she revealed that she is looking for 10 Eurofans to listen to the revamp before its release this upcoming week. While no exact release date has been confirmed yet, this should mean that the revamped version is releasedwithin the next few days.

Revamp to be in English

In addition to the rough release date, Besa revealed that the revamped version will be in English. In a tweet, she said that she feels like the song has grown and she would like everyone to be able to understand the song’s message and feel included.

Albania’s Eurovision History

In 2004, Albania made their debut into the Eurovision Song Contest with Anjeza Shahini with “Image of You”, which placed 7th in the final. Since their debut, Albania has participated 19 times, and made the final 10 times, with their best result in 2012 where Rona Nishliu placed 5th with “Suus”.

In 2023, Albina Kelmendi and her family represented Albania at the Contest in Liverpool with their song “Duje”. Performing in the second semi-final, the six-piece group qualified for the final. At the close of the voting in the final, Albania finished in 22nd place with a total of 76 points. Of these, 16 points came from the juries, whilst 59 came from the televote.
