Alongside their performance at Pre-Party ES 2024, Switzerland’s Eurovision 2024 representative Nemo performed “The Code” live on Swiss TV for the first time this past weekend.
Their Performance
On Saturday, while they performed at Pre-Party ES in Madrid, a pre-recorded performance of “The Code” aired on Swiss broadcaster SRF. This was part of the “MusicStar” 20th anniversary reunion show. MusicStar was a famous entertainment show in Switzerland in the 2000s. This was the first full live performance of “The Code” for Nemo after their announcement as the Swiss representative for Eurovision 2024. You can watch their performance on YouTube now.
Switzerland’s Eurovision History
Switzerland both hosted and debuted in the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Their first participation was successful, as they won with Lys Assia’s โRefrainโ. Since then, they have participated on 62 occasions, making the Grand Final 51 times.
Switzerlandโs most recent participation saw them being represented by Remo Forrer with his song โWatergunโ. Performing in the first semi-final, he qualified for the Grand Final for a fourth consecutive participation. In the final, Switzerland finished 20th, after receiving 92 points. Of these, 61 came from the jury and 31 points came from the televote.
